Front Porch Farms is located just 30 minutes from Nashville but atop the picturesque hillside, it’s easy to imagine you were in the East Tennessee mountains with its rolling hills and breathtaking views. Our private 32-acre estate allows guests to experience the charm of a southern plantation with the convenience of the big city. The property features a three-story Antebellum-style house with multiple porches, lush ceremony site, 4000 sq.ft. reception pavilion, a poolside cocktail area with built-in bar, glamorous bridal suite, a guesthouse for overnight stays and groom accommodations, an outdoor fireplace, flower gardens, sitting areas and outdoor game area, a stocked pond and nature trails.
In addition to weddings, Front Porch Farms is available for corporate parties, video and photo shoots, birthday parties, rehearsal dinners, family reunions, and proms.
On a personal note, Brian and Kathy Best were married under the oak tree in 2004, built their home on the hill in 2006 and continue to live in the house with their children all the while opening their doors to couples, guests and families to visit, tour the venue, plan their wedding, have photo sessions and host their big day for the past 8 years.
It’s such a privilege to share our home with a couple who will make memories they will cherish for a lifetime!

Some days I spend hours answering various questions, other days I’m a dreamer gushing over photos you’ve been collecting
for months, and occasionally I’m the voice of reason when you’re maxing out the budget or unsure about a decision. Most importantly, I’m here to help make crucial decisions, guide you along the path, and keep you sane.
Do you offer packages & what is included?
Front Porch is a wedding day experience to remember – stress-free and fun! When you rent our property, it is for EXCLUSIVE USE of Front Porch Farms. Your day is your day and we concentrate solely on making it as memorable as ours was!!
We have had the pleasure of planning and overseeing many events in a variety of styles and budgets. For that reason, it’s very hard for us to come up with a “one size fits all” package. Where is the fun in that? We want to help you have a day to remember that is unlike anyone else’s. We do offer packages here to include the venue, rentals, catering, flowers, décor and anything else you would like to include but we will customize it to fit exactly what you are looking for. Our basic wedding package has tons of extras and once we discuss your priorities and “must haves” we will customize it. We make sure you are able to enjoy the planning process and the wedding day without worrying about a thing but our staff follows a plan based on what you want not what “we always do”!
Email Kathy for package and pricing details!
What’s your rain plan?
Our staff is very experienced with outdoor events and weather conditions. We have a policy here that we always work with a Plan A and Plan B in mind to ensure if at all possible you have the front ceremony site as planned. Our pavilion is used when we absolutely have no choice but to move the ceremony in doors, however because we have two plans going, we don’t make the call to switch the ceremony to the pavilion until the very last minute. We have also delayed ceremony for few minutes if needed and dried chairs while guests enjoyed cocktails in the pavilion. This way, if it’s clear, you are getting married outside! The pavilion is very beautiful with open sides to the hills and gardens so no matter what you have a beautiful view even if safely out of the rain. See our rain blog for more details
When will I have my rehearsal?
Our rehearsals happen on the day of the wedding, without the bride and groom. This saves you from making a separate trip out to Front Porch the night before. We’ll gather your bridal party at the house and guide them through where to walk and stand as well as any special jobs they may have. What about the two of you? No problem! By the time of your wedding day, you will have finalized ceremony plans with your Officiant and we will have reviewed these details thoroughly with you during one of your visits. Don’t worry about last minute jitters – we will be there every step of the way to guide you.
How far is Front Porch Farms from Nashville?
Just 30 minutes from Nashville, Front Porch Farms is the perfect country retreat to have a true Tennessee Southern Wedding while still giving your guests a taste of Music City for the rest of their visit. It’s the best of both worlds! There are only 4 turns from I-40 to our road. Because we do a lot of destination weddings with out of town guests, we work with shuttle companies to get great rates for couples who want to treat their guests to a ride from their hotel and back.
Can we bring our own alcohol?
We include our in-house bartenders in the package as well as alcohol insurance for you. As for the alcohol, you may bring in your own as long as you follow our guidelines. No price per drink or corkage fee here!
Do you have preferred caterers?
We work with a wonderful collection of very talented caterers to create the best package for you in a variety of styles and budgets in mind. Years have gone into creating our master list of trusted names. Our vendors are going to show up on time, provide impeccable service and dish out some of the best menus your guests have ever seen! We keep this list to protect you from having a bad experience.
I’m from out of town. How do I plan my event from afar?
Maybe it’s because Tennessee is centrally located in the states or because Nashville’s one of the hottest cities in America but we get a lot of destination weddings at Front Porch. Planning with long-distance couples is almost identical to planning with local ones. We keep a detailed Google document that has all of your design details, vendor information, schedule and tons of other interesting tidbits. We both have access to the document to update and see the most current version in real time so it’s easy to communicate and fill in details as they are finalized. We will do regular phone calls as needed and set up a comprehensive day of meetings when you are able to come in for a visit. My former clients traveled the country on tour so communicating long distance is quite simple especially with Pinterest and Google help us both keep track of the visuals.
What am I allowed to bring for decorations?
If you have a specific vision that only your things can realize, then bring them along. We love to see new and different ideas. However, with a barn full of free decorations and endless props, you don’t have to bring a thing!
Do you do Friday Weddings?
We don’t mind hosting a wedding any day of the week but I do want to point out that Nashville traffic is a bear and I wouldn’t want your guests trying to maneuver through rush hour traffic that starts getting crazy as early as 2pm. I strongly recommend Saturdays and Sundays. Sundays are wonderful days because your out of town guests can travel back on Monday just as easily as they would travel here on Friday for a Saturday wedding. Plus there are usually some great perks of leftover flowers and decorations from the day before – it’s a win win!
